The Four Immeasurables
A Deep Dive into The Four Immeasurables
Join us for a deeper look at the classic teachings on how to open our hearts to ourselves—and to others. We’ll learn to work with whatever difficult emotions and blockages we encounter along the way, whether they be fear, jealousy, self-hatred, or the need for constant validation. The Brahmaviharas, also known as the “Four Immeasurables” are loving kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity (or confidence). Each of these practices, when applied consistently, helps us encounter obstacles to vulnerability and openness, and help us transform our acquired habits of defensiveness and self-protection into something much wiser and more skillful. Using books by a couple of the greatest teachers of this material currently alive, Ethan and team will help us take a much deeper dive into the heart to prepare for the summer ahead:
Week 1: A Deep Dive Back into Bodhicitta
Week 2: A Deep Dive into Metta
Week 3: A Deep Dive into Karuna
Week 4: A Deep Dive into Mudita
Week 5: A Deep Dive into Upeksha
Week 6: Ultimate Bodhicitta, Yogacara, The Meaning of All Beings
